VCIA Names Joe Carter Vice Chair
Bethesda, Md., Aug. 23, 2024 — The Vermont Captive Insurance Association (VCIA), the world’s largest trade association for captive insurance, has named United Educators (UE) Vice President Joe E. Carter its Vice Chair.
At UE, Carter serves as Vice President of Business Development & UE Experience. He is responsible for teams that execute business development and distribution strategies, UE’s constituent experience, brand marketing, and corporate communications.
“I have a deep appreciation for the essential role captives play in supporting their members,” Carter said. “Helping lead VCIA is an opportunity to serve a wide spectrum of self-insurers across the country.”
In addition to serving on VCIA’s Board, he serves on the boards of NBOA, a national association for independent school business leaders; and the Education Foundation at Old Dominion University.
