United Educators Receives Two Stevie® Awards for Online Training
Bethesda, Md., May 8, 2024 — United Educators (UE) received two Stevie® Awards in the 22nd Annual American Business Awards® in the “Achievement in Online Training” category.
In 2024, this premier business awards program attracted more than 3,700 nominations from public, private, for-profit, and nonprofit organizations. These UE e-learning courses received Silver Stevie® Awards:
Stand Up Against Bullying: Recognize and Respond examines the impact of bullying and cyberbullying at K-12 schools and details how to best respond when incidents occur. Judges said it provides a thoughtful approach and cutting-edge visual design and demonstrates an exceptional commitment to addressing a critical issue. One judge said the course’s “focus on equipping faculty and staff with the knowledge and tools to recognize and effectively respond to bullying and cyberbullying is both timely and essential, given the disturbing prevalence of bullying reported among students.”
Athlete Well-Being: A Guide to Recognizing and Preventing Emotional Abuse educates higher ed coaches, staff, and students about coaches’ emotional abuse — the most common form of athlete maltreatment. Judges called the course a “home run,” saying it offers an engaging way to address a critical yet overlooked issue. One judge said the course “stands out for its practical approach, using interactive scenarios to teach effective, athlete-centered coaching methods.”
“Engaging students and staff on critical topics is vital to campus safety and well-being,” said Sarah Braughler, UE’s Vice President of Risk Management.
