Five UE Employees Named Emerging Leaders
Bethesda, Md., Dec. 20, 2024 — The American Property Casualty Insurance Association (APCIA) selected five United Educators (UE) employees to the 2025 class of Emerging Leaders.
These UE employees are among the 248 insurance professionals to receive the honor:
- Katherine Hance, National Team Leader/Senior Resolutions Counsel
- Adam Shapourian, Associate Vice President, Customer Experience
- Michele Backus Konigsberg, Associate Vice President of Underwriting Operations
- Gregory Stambaugh, Actuarial Associate
- Christine McHugh, Associate Vice President of Risk Management
“Kate, Adam, Michele, Greg, and Christine each contribute to our market leadership,” said Rick Mills, UE’s President and CEO. “Their selection as Emerging Leaders reflects UE’s commitment to fostering career growth across the industry.”
APCIA describes emerging leaders as “making a significant impact” on topics including business transformation; customer service; artificial intelligence; privacy and tech innovations; legal and regulatory issues; and diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Honorees will attend the 2025 Emerging Leaders Conference from Feb. 2-4 in Tampa, Fla. The event is hosted by APCIA, Insurance Careers Movement and AM Best. The conference brings together rising stars in the insurance industry and offers insights on executive leadership, networking opportunities and a focus on professional and personal development.
